After the death of his cousin Joe, Layne Vassimer and his girlfriend Macy, along with four friends, move into Joe's house with the intention of cleaning it up and selling it. When they arrive, they discover the house completely covered in iron.
The group begins finding crop circles in the nearby cornfield. When Iris disappears, they realize something serious is going on. Following a blackout, they are attacked by aliens, the abductors of Iris. They discover the aliens are allergic to iron and that Joe had covered the house in it to keep them away.
