SimCity 64 (シムシティー64) is a city-building video game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, and believed to be a part of the SimCity series, although Maxis was not involved in the development or release of the game. SC64 may have been intended as a sequel to Nintendo's SNES release of the original SimCity (1991), given several elements from the SNES version are found in SC64, including Dr. Wright, the city advisor. The game is considerably obscure, given its Japan-only release and designation to run on the ill-fated Nintendo 64DD platform.
SC64 is also not to be confused with the Super NES port for SimCity 2000, which was developed and released by an entirely different developer, Imagineer Co., Ltd.
