Siming

Siming District (Chinese: 思明区; Pinyin: Sīmíng Qū) is on southeastern Xiamen Island and the capital district of Xiamen Municipality, Fujian Province, the People's Republic of China. Siming literally means Missing Ming Dynasty (思念明朝). In 1650, Zheng Chenggong changed the name of Xiamen to Siming Zhou (思明州).
