Six Flags México has become one of the most important theme parks in Mexico and the largest in Latin America. Reino Aventura (Spanish for "Adventure Kingdom") opened its gates in 1982, and is ever since the largest theme park in Latin America. The park's mascot was a purple cartoon dragon named Cornelio. Since its opening, no new attractions were added, thus attendance dropped.
