Sixtoo is the main project of a Canadian hip hop DJ, MC and producer Vaughn Robert Squire. Born on January 29, 1974 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Squire rose to prominence in the mid-90's underground hip-hop scene initially as a member of Sebutones, along with Richard Terfry. Sixtoo is the main project of a Canadian hip hop DJ, MC and producer Vaughn Robert Squire. Born on January 29, 1974 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Squire rose to prominence in the mid-90's underground hip-hop scene initially as a member of Sebutones, along with Richard Terfry. During that time he worked with Sage Francis, Stigg of the Dump, Moka Only, Mr. Dibbs and other members of Anticon Records. In 2000, Vaughn moved to Montreal where he signed on with UK based record label Vertical Form Records. Soon after came the release of “Antagonist Survival Kit”, a synth-based sample album that showcased both sides of his skills: on the mic, and on the sampler. In 2003 Sixtoo signed to Ninja Tune Records. His debut record on this label - “Chewing On Glass & Other Miracle Cures” - has won acclaim in the international electronic beats community.
