The first year of the event was to be known as Song07 and headlined by The Proclaimers, Badly Drawn Boy and The Levellers. This has been cancelled but the organisers aim to launch the event in 2008.
The organisers did not obtain a licence prior to announcing the event and during the process of applying for one from the council, they decided to cancel, stating local objections as one reason. Residents of the local area had criticised the organisers for failing to consult with them and opposed the festival for a number of reasons.
