"Songs to Live and Die By" is episode 10 of season 4 of the television show One Tree Hill. The episode starts with a short recap of the previous episode and then we see Lucas standing alone in the street, where he was earlier lying next to Haley. He stands up, looks around and sees a man walking in the distance. He runs after him, and sees that the man is Keith. Next, they are in a hospital and Lucas is really happy that he can see Keith. Keith pulls Lucas near the wall, to make room for the medics, who are bringing the injured Haley inside. Lucas starts to remember what happened, and then we see people bringing in an unconscious Lucas. "Your heart is not the only one breaking" and next we see Peyton in her room waiting for Lucas to arrive, but instead Brooke appears and tells her that Haley and Lucas are at the hospital and that the situation is bad.
