South Aiken High School's mascot is the Thoroughbred. South Aiken is very accomplished in golf(Having won the AAAA State Championship in 2004, and placing second in the 2008 season with only one senior.) , tennis (having won the men's tennis state championship in 2002, 2003, and 2004), and soccer, winning the Men's Soccer state championship in 2005(4A) and 2009 (3A).
