Israel and the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and all countries on the Arabian Peninsula are considered to be part of Western Asia, whereas Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan are to be considered part of South Asia.
