The goal in SPANC is to guide your crew of space pirates to victory against the other players crews. Each player has cards that represent either a crew member, or toys (a set of cute ninja stars, hiking boots, or a collar with a bell) that can improve a crew members abilities. The all female crew members are ranked in four abilities: Space Pirate, Amazon, Ninja, and Catgirl.
Capers are a set of four challenges. A series of challenge cards are laid out and turned over one at a time. Each challenge (such as garden maze, an honorable hero, or a treasure vault) is marked with which ability it challenges, requiring to player to roll the skill number or lower of the crew member that is attempting the challenge.
