The game was developed by education software developer Instinct Corporation and published by Knowledge Adventure for Windows 3.1 in 1995. The game features narration by Christopher Daniel Barnes, who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the animated series. The game includes all the major characters from the animated series, and for each cast member, typically includes three animations. The game includes original music and some characters not found in the animated series who were dropped half way through production such as the Beetle.
