Stardeath and White Dwarfs was born in late 2004 in Oklahoma City, and released its debut EP in the spring of 2005. Members Dennis Coyne, Casey Joseph, Matt Duckworth, and Philip Rice create their own brand of genre bending sound.
The band's lead singer is Dennis Coyne, nephew of Wayne Coyne, lead singer of The Flaming Lips. Other members include Casey Joseph, Matt Duckworth and James Young. They released the "Stardeath and White Dwarfs" EP in 2005. They have since completed their first album, entitled The Birth with producer Trent Bell. It was released on vinyl (with digital download) on May 19, 2009 and released on CD on June 9, 2009 on the Warner Brothers music label.
