Stefan Waggershausen, (* 20th February 1949 in Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance in Germany) is a German singer, composer, and song writer.
In 1974 he produced his first record as singer. In 1980 he had his first big success with the song Hallo Engel. Further songs were released, partly sung together with Viktor Lazlo, Ofra Haza and Maria Conchita Alonso. Further songs were released, partly sung together with Viktor Lazlo, Ofra Haza and Maria Conchita Alonso. The biggest commercial success of Waggershausen's career is the 1984 duet "Zu Nah Am Feuer" with Italian singer-songwriter Alice which is said to have sold a million copies in West Germany alone, and also charted in Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and Belgium as well as becoming a minor hit in Italy. The track was also recorded in English as "Close To The Fire".
