Stephanie Brown is a fictional character in the DC Comics Universe. The character first appeared in Detective Comics #647 and was created by Chuck Dixon and Tom Lyle. She was the eponymous lead character in the 2009 Batgirl comic book series written by Bryan Q. Miller, with pencils by Lee Garbett.
