Steven Neal Barton was born on June 26, 1954 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States, as youngest from 3 children of Tom and Mary Barton. He grew up in Nederland, Texas.
Later he won a scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in theater, dance and singing, appearing in over 30 productions with the University of Texas and with the Ballet of Austin....
