Steve Brodie

Steve Brodie (November 21, 1919 – January 9, 1992) was an American movie and television actor, born John Stevenson in El Dorado, Kansas. He chose his screen name after Steve Brodie (1863-1901) who allegedly jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge in 1886. Brodie survived the jump and "taking a Brodie" entered the lexicon for bridge jumpers.
