Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, FRS (Tamil: சுப்பிரமணியன் சந்திரசேகர்), /ˌtʃʌndrəˈʃeɪkɑr/ ( listen)) (October 19, 1910 – August 21, 1995) was a British India born Indian-American astrophysicist who, with William A.
