Tajik (Persian: تاجيک Tājīk; Tajik: Тоҷик; Russian: Таджики) is a general designation for a wide range of Persian-speaking peoples of Iranian origin, with traditional homelands in present-day Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and southern Uzbekistan.
