She is the daughter of property business tycoon Peter Beckwith and grew up in Kew, South West London, where she attended the local state primary school Queens School, before moving to Wimbledon, London in the early 1980s. Both she and her sister Clare attended Cheltenham Ladies' College whilst her brother Miles works in the family property business. Beckwith dropped out in order to have her daughter, Anouska Poppy Pearl (born 1987, Westminster, London) - the father was an American Marine. Anouska is now studying acting in Los Angeles.
