Tara Leslye Kemp (born on May 11, 1964 in Livermore, California) was an American pop and R&B; singer. She is best known for releasing two Top 10 singles, "Hold You Tight" and "Piece of My Heart," in 1991. "Hold You Tight", written by singer-songwriter Will Hammond Jr., went gold and reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
