The Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax, is submitted by tax-exempt and non-profit organizations to provide the Internal Revenue Service with annual financial information. Form 990-PF is available for private foundations. A short version, Form 990-EZ, may be used by organizations with gross receipts of between $25,000 and $500,000 and total assets of less than $2.5 million.
