She is best known for her role as high school secretary Lovita Alizay Jenkins-Robinson on the WB sitcom The Steve Harvey Show. She was married to Derrick Carolina and has a son, Daylen Ali (2001), with him. She is currently married to football player Karon Riley. On April 24, 2008 Vaughn welcomed her second child into the world with husband Riley, a boy named Kal'El Joseph Riley.
Vaughn established the non-profit "Take Wings Foundation," which provides scholarships, mentoring and job training opportunities for young women living in public housing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Terri has appeared in films like Friday (film) and Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. She also was a regular on the sitcom All of Us.
