Texasville is a 1990 American film directed by Peter Bogdanovich. It is a sequel to The Last Picture Show, and is based on the book of the same name by Larry McMurtry. Jeff Bridges, Cybill Shepherd, Cloris Leachman, Timothy Bottoms, Randy Quaid and Eileen Brennan reprise their roles from the 1971 film. Texasville is in color; the original was filmed in black and white. Duane Jackson, now in his forties, is the wealthy tycoon of a suffering oil company. His relationship with his family isn't prospering, either. He's got a wife, Karla, who believes the mild-mannered Duane is cheating on her; a son, Dickie, who seems to be following in his father's libidinous footsteps; and misbehaving grandchildren. In addition to his dysfunctional family, many of Anarene's other citizens have never moved beyond its boundaries.
