The race visited ten countries in five continents, three of which were previously unvisited. The three new countries were Greece, Oman and Japan. As well as Brazil, Russia, Germany, Italy (Sicily), Australia and Thailand were also listed as race destinations. This race had the second longest route course (The Amazing Race 5 was the longest).
