But his girlfriend (Julie) appears to take credit for the purchase when she hands Elaine the salad in Jerry's apartment. George obsesses over the fact that Elaine believes Julie bought the salad, to the point that he goes out of his way to inform Elaine that he was responsible for the purchase.
