The Black Lagoon is the first episode of the Japanese anime series Black Lagoon. The episode was first aired in Japan on August 4, 2006. Rokuro Okajima is a Japanese salaryman working for Asahi Industries in Tokyo. He is growing tired of his ordinary life in Japan with other businessmen. One day he is sent to the South China Sea with the task of delivering a disc to some clients of his employers. However, while travelling, his boat is hijacked by two American mercenaries (Revy and Dutch) who are after the disc he holds. Rokuro himself is kidnapped, as the mercenaries believe they can get a ransom for him from his company. However, Rokuro￢ﾀﾙs employers instead dispatch a team to eliminate the mercenaries and Rokuro, as they do not want the content on the disk to fall in the kidnapper's hands.
