The band formed in the early 1980s, initially as Farmlife by Andy Mosquera (vocals), Steve Gerrard (bass), Dave Mitcheson (guitar), Simon Crane (saxophone) and Mark Thompson (drums), who met on a fine art course at Leicester Polytechnic.
