The Green Green Grass is a British sitcom, created and initially written by John Sullivan, produced by Shazam Productions and broadcast by the BBC. It is a spin-off of the classic comedy series Only Fools and Horses. Four series were originally broadcast on BBC One in the United Kingdom between 2005 and 2009, with Christmas specials broadcast from 2005 to 2007. Set in Oakham in Shropshire, it stars John Challis as Aubrey Boyce, a gentleman farmer, Sue Holderness as his wife Marlene and Jack Doolan as their son Tyler. The series chronicles their sudden move from Peckham and Boyce’s fears of the Driscoll Brothers. After the brothers found Boycie, the series focused on the daily strains of living on Winterdown Farm. The sitcom was a ratings success from its debut to the last episode in 2009.
