The Indian High School (IHS) is the first expatriate educational institution to be established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 1957 at which point it was called Bharatiya Vidyalaya. The land on which the School is located was granted to the School by the Late Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

The school was established in 1961 with a view to providing education to children of Indian expats. The school is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Dubai, and is permanently affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It is a member of Dubai Quality Group and has acquired ISO : 9001 : 2000 Certification. The certification by Lloyds Register of Britain acknowledges the quality management system and the contribution of the Indian community-run school in giving international quality education to expatriates.
