The announcement that Vice President George Bush will be making a visit to McKinley High creates a conflict for Lindsay when Mr. Rosso chooses her to ask Bush a "softball" question at a school assembly. Meanwhile, Ken questions his sexuality when his girlfriend Amy reveals to him that she was born with ambiguous genitalia, and his overanalyzation of the relationship leads him to the conclusion that he has to break up with her. And Sam is having a terrible time dating Cindy Sanders, who reveals herself to be shallow, rude and egotistical. He tries to find the courage to break up with her.
