The Pulitzer, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando, opened in October 2001. Commissioned for the building and on permanent view are Ellsworth Kelly's wall sculpture Blue Black, located in the Main Gallery, and Richard Serra’s torqued spiral sculpture Joe, located in the courtyard.
