The Queensland Orchestra is an Australia orchestra based in Brisbane, Queensland. The orchestra was created in 2001 through the merger of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and the Queensland Philharmonic, a small chamber orchestra. The orchestra is funded by private corporations, the state government and the Australian federal government through the Australia Council.
