Satellite Party is an alternative rock band conceived by current Jane's Addiction and former Porno for Pyros frontman Perry Farrell following the demise of Jane's Addiction in 2004. Other members currently include Carl Restivo (bass) and Farrell's wife, Etty Lau Farrell (backing singer and dancer). The band was initially formed as a collaboration between Farrell and Extreme member Nuno Bettencourt, however Bettencourt departed from from the project in July 2007. Perry Farrell now remains the only permanent member. The group made its debut appearance in Los Angeles at the Key Club on July 18, 2005. Tony Kanal of No Doubt filled in on bass and Steve Ferlazzo of DramaGods was on keyboards. This was followed by an additional performance at Lollapalooza 2005, held in Grant Park in downtown Chicago on July 24, 2005. .
