During the production of season 11, voice actress Maggie Roswell, who voiced Helen Lovejoy, Maude Flanders, amongst others, left the show because of a contract dispute. However, she later returned in season 14. As a result of Roswell's leaving, the cast decided to kill off her primary role, Maude Flanders, in the episode "Alone Again, Natura-Diddily".
