Ride Summary: In 1971, Six Flags Over Mid-America (later renamed Six Flags St. Louis) was built. With it the USA SkyWay was built in the "America" section of the park. This was a scenic ride that is called ¬タワVon Roll¬タン style. It consisted of many cars, called gondolas, that were put on metal ropes, almost like a sky lift. There were three footers that helped keep the ropes up. It was quite popular among young children and older adults who were not interested in Big rollercoasters.It was located where the Xcalibur ride is today. The three footers are still in place; one is behind the Panda Express center, another is by an airbrush station near the Hannibarrels, and the third is behind Miss Kitty¬タルs.On July 26, 1978, a gondola fell off the ropes and fell to the ground.
