Fran Garrison (Suzanne Pleshette) loves her dachshund Danke and the dog's three puppies. One day, her husband Mark (Dean Jones) brings home a Great Dane puppy—the gift of veterinarian Dr. Pruitt (Charlie Ruggles)—and Mark names the dog Brutus.
