The title character has had a great deal of influence on Hollywood's depictions of the legend of the werewolf. Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney, Jr.) returns to his ancestral home in Llanwelly, Wales to reconcile with his father, Sir John Talbot (Claude Rains).
