"The Woman in Limbo" is the 22nd episode and season one finale of the television series, Bones. Originally aired on May 17, 2006 on FOX network, the episode was written by Hart Hanson and directed by Jesús Treviño. The plot revolves around the investigation of Dr. Temperance Brennan and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth into the death of a woman, whose remains has been stored at the Jeffersonian Institute since 1998 and whose identity turns out to be Christine Brennan, Dr. Brennan's mother. This is also the last episode to date that featured the character of Dr. Daniel Goodman, who did not return in season 2.
At the beginning of the episode, Dr. Brennan is late for a court hearing where she is an expert witness. Before she leaves she accepts Zach's measurements on a Jane Doe skeleton so Angela can perform a facial reconstruction.
