Mary, played by Molly Parker from Swingtown, found refuge in her work as a therapist, despite being unable to follow advice she gives to her clients. The last one, Neil found refuge in, well, weirdness.
The pilot starred Sarah Michelle Gellar who also served as executive producer.
The pilot began shooting on May 11, 2009 in New York City. Outside shots were filmed at 113th and Riverside Drive on May 13.
It also starred Nate Corddry, who played Gellar's younger "bookish grad student" brother, Molly Parker as her older therapist sister, Adam Scott Alice's ex, and Zac Orth as her sister's husband.
