The Worms of Kukumlima is a humorous book written by Daniel Pinkwater for the 9-12 age-group and first published in 1981. The main character, Ronald Donald Almondotter, goes to Africa with his grandfather, one of his eccentric friends, and a cook and a guide, both from Africa. They go on a safari in search of a mysterious crater called Kukumlima that supposedly does not show up on any maps, hoping to find giant intelligent earthworms described in a previous explorer's notebook. Finding Kukumlima accidentally, they discover that the worms exist, but find themselves unable to get out of the crater.
The Worms of Kukumlima is no longer in print in its original form. However, it is included in Pinkwater's compilation 4 Fantastic Novels.
