The two-story school building was built in 1999. The building, designed by Faridy Thorne Fraytak Architects/Planners, with 175,000 square feet (16,300 m), was built to accommodate as many as 1,150 students. The first principal of the school, Steven Mayer, served as principal from 1999 to the end of the 2006 school year.
