Featuring 26 missions, the game was known for its difficulty. Even on the easiest difficulty setting, players could expect to have to attempt each mission several times before learning the best method of completion. However, the game allowed the player to heavily customise the weaponry on their AH-73M, ranging from missiles and machine guns to rockets and cluster-bombs. The player was also given a choice of views, being chase cam, first person from the eyes of the pilot, or first person from the nose of the helicopter.
