His work includes the 2001 short The Wicked, and feature films The Roost, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, Trigger Man and The House of the Devil. West appeared in 2004's The Woman Who Split Before Dinner as Old Man Conrad. West disowned Cabin Fever 2, citing massive studio interference and re-editing.
He wrote, produced and directed the web series Dead & Lonely in 2009 for IFC Films, the first series run ended in October 2009.
West was set to direct the sequel to A Haunting in Connecticut, but in March 2010 left the project A Haunting in Georgia.
