Timur Nuruakhitovich Bekmambetov (; , Timur Nuruahitovič Bekmambetov; born 25 June, 1961) is a Russian and Kazakh film and advertisement director.
Bekmambetov was born on June 25,1961 in Guryev, Kazakh SSR, USSR (now Atyrau, Kazakhstan). At the age of 19, he moved to Tashkent, then-Soviet Uzbekistan where in 1987 he graduated from the A. N.
