Todd Harry Rundgren (born June 22, 1948 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, United States), is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer.
Rundgren began his career in Woody's Truck Stop, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based group based on the model of Paul Butterfield Blues Band. However, he wanted to pursue a more pop/rock-oriented sound, and left the band to form the garage rock group Nazz in 1967. The group gained minor recognition with the songs "Open My Eyes" and "Hello It's Me...
