Tom Mankiewicz (born June 1, 1942) is an American screenwriter and director. A graduate of Yale University, he is the son of Joseph L. Mankiewicz and the nephew of Herman J. Mankiewicz. Tom Mankiewicz wrote or co-wrote the screenplays for Mother, Jugs & Speed, The Cassandra Crossing and The Eagle Has Landed. He also wrote the book for the short-lived 1970 Broadway musical Georgy.
