(Thomas P.) Tommy Broughan (born 1 August 1947) is an Irish Labour Party politician. He is currently a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin North East constituency and is the Labour Party Spokesperson for Transport.
Broughan was born in Dublin and educated at Moyle Park, Clondalkin and University College Dublin. He worked as a teacher at St Aidan's CBS, Whitehall before entering politics in 1991 when he was elected to Dublin City Council. The following year, he was first elected at the 1992 general election to the 27th Dáil as a TD for Dublin North East. On that occasion the Labour Party won a record 33 seats, an achievement that has never been equalled. Broughan retained his seat at the 1997 general election, and was re-elected again at the 2002 and 2007 general elections.
