Top Speed (1930) is a musical comedy film released by First National Pictures, a subsidiary of Warner Brothers. The film was completed as a full musical. However, due to the backlash against musicals, Warner Brothers was forced to make many cuts to the film and much of the original music is missing or severely truncated. Ginger Rogers had her debut in the Broadway theater musical, also called Top Speed, which opened on Christmas Day 1929.
