The first two episodes of the series on BBC Three, aired as a double-bill, gave the channel its highest ever ratings, and the highest ratings of any digital non-sport channel, at 2.4 million viewers. The audience share was 12.7%, increasing to 13.8% for the second episode, despite ratings dropping to 2.3 million. Ratings for later episodes dropped to around 1.2-1.3 million viewers during the first showing on BBC Three, but the show remained the most viewed programme on BBC Three by a wide margin.
The complete series was released on DVD in the UK on November 19 2007. A North American release has been announced for January 22, 2008, following the series' broadcast on BBC America in the United States and the CBC in Canada.
