Trancestep (sometimes known as Electrostep) is a sub-genre of Drum and Bass music, combining the synthesized melodic elements of Trance and Electro with the drum patterns and basslines of Drum & Bass. Trancestep is most closely related to fellow sub-genres Techstep, Darkstep and Neurofunk, but generally sounds more upbeat or uplifting and is more likely to use sung vocals.
